We are committed to supporting the youth in Uganda. Our goal is to show that God is good despite all the challenges of everyday life.

We do this through several projects, such as our soccer  and tailoring project. The target group of Recabites consists of young adults in Jinja, Uganda.

Tailoring project

In Kalungami, we run our tailoring project where students learn tailoring skills to generate income and make reusable sanitary pads.

Soccer project

The team Victorious FC is part of Recabites and plays in the soccer competition in Jinja. Soccer is used as a tool for discipleship and evangelism.

Hand outs

From time to time, we organize outreach activities such as distributing reusable sanitary pads, Christmas food packages, and children’s clothing made through our tailoring project.

Gatherings

We organize various gatherings, activities, and training sessions, such as Bible studies, hygiene awareness sessions, and training on the importance of saving money.

Our team consists of enthusiastic volunteers in both Uganda and the Netherlands.

Everything we do needs to be in line with the Bible.

Everyone is unique and has abilities, so respecting every individual is vital.

We are committed to God, to each other and to the people we serve. Also we expect commitment from the people we are working with and we value cooperation between the board and the target group.
Commitment
We want to be sustainable in the things we do, concerning the climate, but also we want to have a long lasting impact on the target group so that they can be self-supporting.

Who

The group we focus on consists of young adults in Uganda. There is a high level of unemployment among young people. We hope to help them reach their full potential.

What

Our mission is to empower young people to reach their full potential by offering opportunities for structural change.

Where

At the moment, we are operating in the Jinja district in Uganda. Our soccer team is based in Wairaka, and our tailoring project is located in Kalungami. Both are villages within the Jinja District.

How

We have several projects and activities through which we aim to encourage our youth to reach their full potential, such as our soccer project and tailoring project.
